Helaina Parker, Staff Writer
Helaina Parker is thirteen years old and an eighth-grader at Cherokee Middle School on Team War Eagles. Helaina is an only child, born in Joplin, MO. She loves to cheer, play volleyball, shop, write, and hang out with her friends. She has one pet; a black rescue pug named Annabelle, who loves to cuddle. Helaina loves to travel and so far has been to 27 states. She hopes to visit all 50 states before graduating from high school. In addition to traveling, she enjoys listening to the music of all genres, playing board games, and surfing various coffee shops for the best-iced caramel latte. At Cherokee she is involved in cheer, Pep Club, Pay It Forward, orchestra, Smoke Signal, Varsity Treble Chorus, and is your NJSH Vice President. Helaina's aspirations include: to one day attend Harvard or UCLA, followed by John Hopkins Medical College, and to be a world-renowned general pediatric surgeon. Additionally, she wants to become to be a mom of 7 children and lots of fur-babies.
