Cherokee Wrestling Team

The Cherokee Indians wrestling team has been crushing the competition since its inception! The wrestling team is in its third year of competition. During both the first two years they won the All-City Championship and are hoping for another! They are undefeated in All-City Championships and are one of the best teams in the surrounding area.

Wrestling is great because it is one of the few co-ed sports in middle school (which means boys and girls can play together). Another reason that wrestling is great is because of how exciting and fun it is to watch and play. Wrestling is one of the most exciting sports in the world and there aren’t many reasons not to participate!

If you are interested in wrestling, make sure to stop by Ms. Madura’s room at the end of the eighth-grade hallway in Room 186. Practice is after school at 3:30 Monday through Friday and no prior experience is needed. The season spans from mid-October to mid-December and meets are about once a week on any given day.

If you are looking for a fun and exciting sport, this is definitely the sport for you! Make sure to wash your hands and GO INDIANS!!!
