Spider-Man Miles Morales: A Review

Spider-Man Miles Morales: A Review

You’re swinging through the city enjoying your life when a prison convoy drives by. Flying by you is a helicopter with a special package, The Rhino. After a helicopter mishap, you fight through a crowd of the escaped prisoner just to reach the giant beast. Your friend Peter Parker swings by you while you chase the ginormous villain, the screams of J. Jhona Jameson behind you as you crash through his recording studio. After some more fighting, Rhino smashes your pal Pete through a wall, forcing you to fight the towering beast. What you just read is all from the new amazing game for both PS4 and PS5, Spider-Man Miles Morales.

With my intro aside, I am going to write my true thoughts on this game; It is AMAZING. Ever since I first played the first Marvel’s Spider-Man game, I was anxious to see what happened next. The end of that game was so amazing yet it did not give much closure. Miles Morales sadly does not answer these questions, but it did give me some awesome fun to have while I waited for them. WARNING: This game is not a direct sequel to Marvel’s Spiderman and is not DLC. This game is a spinoff with its own mostly unconnected story.

This game starts you off with a great little cutscene where you get introduced to the beautiful city of Harlem at Christmas time while you go find some milk for Christmas dinner. Harlem is very much so enthused in this game, so be prepared for a lot of beautiful lighting. After getting a text from Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, the sequence I wrote about at the beginning of my article plays out. This game has stunning visuals and great character design, with an even greater story. Though the best part by far of this game is the swinging which works and looks amazing in the snow-covered New York City.

Even though the game is shorter than most with a 5-6 hour campaign, the price of 49.99 is well worth it. You will have tons of fun just swinging through the city, and even more, playing with all the different suits. Unlike in its predecessor, every single suit in the game is amazing, with my favorite being the Spider-Cat suit. You get to swing around the city with a cat in your bag. This ends my Spider-Man Miles Morales review, and I hope that those of you that play this enjoy it as much as I did.
