Mrs. Nevels: Staff Spotlight

Mrs. Nevels

You may have seen Mrs. Nevels in the hall, in the cafeteria, or just around, but have you ever gotten a chance to get to know her? She is a 6th-grade teacher and has been teaching for 6 years. Three words she would use to describe herself are organized, cynical, and outspoken. Mrs. Nevels didn’t always want to be a teacher. She had really wanted to be a doctor of some sort. Mrs. Nevels teaches reading, math, and science.

If Mrs. Nevels could go anywhere in the world she would go to, “Greece, because my father used to live there and it is beautiful and there’s a lot of history.” I had the pleasure of having her as a teacher last year, and she just had a way of making the kids feel loved and safe, but she also made learning fun.

Mrs. Nevels said that if she could spend one day with anyone it would be her grandmother because she misses her very much. When her homework is finished that is when Mrs. Nevels is happiest. If I were to describe her in three words it would be fun-loving, patient, and kind. The best day of Mrs. Nevels life was when she got saved by the blood of the Lamb. Mrs. Nevels favorite food is sushi.

Now that you know a bit about Mrs. Nevels, go learn some more cool things about her. You should definitely get a chance to know her more because she is an amazing person.
