The Cherokee Middle school Art Club meets every Wednesday after school in Mrs. Buerger’s room until 4:00. “Art Club is an extra opportunity to create outside of class time,” says Mrs. Buerger.  They work with all kinds of materials and they recently made Christmas ornaments. I asked some of the members of the art club why they like it. They said, “It’s awesome, you should join!” and “It is really loud and we do all kinds of projects.” Mrs. Buerger told me that they sometimes have assigned projects, but most of the time they get to decided what they want to create.
