Before this article fully starts, last quarter I made an article about various colleges some students might want to attend. This article is just a continuation. If you are curious about that article you can find it right here!

College is expensive, and so are groceries. Some parents might offer to help with this, but other students might not have that luck. With this in mind, a part-time job is very helpful and needed when going off to college or just getting started in the land of, “No More Parents Telling Me What To Do”.

First of all, one part-time job could be something along with food, whether you’re a waiter, cashier, or cook. (A very popular known part-time job would be simply joining the McDonald Crew!) Others could be from the following: Ruby Tuesdays, Dennys, KFC, or any place that hires that works with food. If you are interested in this kind of job, the average pay for a fast-food worker is around $8.90 per hour.

Next, more part-time jobs include retail! Retail stores are stores like Dillards, J.C. Penny, Macy’s, or Sears. Down below, the chart shows different retail stores besides the ones I listed, which just specialize in clothes.

These are a few of the different part-time jobs, but there are a lot more! Think about getting one. Not only will they help you in college, but in high school too!
