National Junior Honors Society

National Junior Honors Society (NJHS) is a highly selective and very honorable club. It is run by one of our counselors, Mr. Petree.

To be considered for NJHS, you have to maintain a 3.7 grade point average or above starting in your second semester of 6th grade. If you meet those requirements, then you will fill out an application and get three recommendation letters. There are around 80 students in NJHS every year.

Students in NJHS volunteer in our community and go out and do good things. Some of the things they do include Salvation Army bell ringing around Christmas time and helping out at festivals at elementary schools around Springfield. So if you like volunteering in the community or doing good deeds, then this is the club for you! Make sure to keep up those good grades if you think this is something you would like to do.
